Twenty minutes of happy mess

A cake smash is a photoshoot for your baby's first birthday. I set up the backdrop in my studio, you just bring the cake.

As a mum, I know children don't perform on cue, so my photoshoots are relaxed and led by your little one.

On the day

I never expect your baby to sit still or smile for the camera. I let them explore the cake in their own time, and the real expressions in between are usually the photos parents love most.

If your little one has a big brother or sister, a sibling photo is included.

If your baby is unwell when the day comes, let me know as soon as you can and we will find another date. Children get poorly, it happens to everyone, and I would far rather move your photoshoot than photograph a child who is not feeling well.

What you receive

Edited images are included. You'll find my prices here.

Your gallery is with you within 14 days of your photoshoot. If anything ever means it will take a little longer, I will let you know rather than leave you wondering.

Nothing goes anywhere without your say so. When you book you receive a consent form, and that is where you tell me whether I may use any of your photographs on my website or on Instagram. If you would rather I did not, that is completely fine and it changes nothing about your photoshoot.

Where photoshoots happen

Cake smash photoshoots happen in my natural light studio in Borehamwood. I send the studio address when I confirm your booking.

Families come to me from Borehamwood, Elstree, Radlett, Shenley, Bushey, Barnet, Edgware, Mill Hill, Hendon, Finchley, Golders Green, Hampstead, Stanmore, Hatch End, Pinner and Northwood, and from further afield too.

Booking your cake smash

Message me on WhatsApp with a few dates that suit you, and I will come back to you with what is free. I reply within 24 hours, then confirm your date once your deposit is paid.

Gift vouchers are available for any photoshoot. A voucher is valid for 12 months and is sent to you digitally, ready to give.
